Gamer's salvation is back!!!

Hold your breath, hardcore gamers. Gamer's Salvation has kept its word. As always and we have relapsed to doing what we do the best. Gaming events...
First of all thanks for the great response you gave to our FIFA '09 tournament this summer. And finally yielding to all the fellow gamers’ demands we have decided to have a winter version of the tournament which we plan to make even bigger and better than the previous.
Hope you have your game pads handy and have honed your skills, tricks and tactics while it rained incessantly out there. Because this time around there will be a bigger pool of gamers and competition will be tougher.
Not to mention we will be following the wont – eat, drink, relax and then sit in front the PC to let your game pad do the talking. Prizes are up for grabs. Not that prizes motivate yhe true gamer. It’s the kick, ain’t it?
We have mulled over the suitable date and decided on 23rd October. Entrée fee is Rs. 100/-. Complementary snacks.

Be the change: Sapling Plantation

I m not habitual pessimist but writing the blog today is proving to be a real pain. Firstly because 'a' key on my keyboard is not working(filthy little vowel. Yet it has brought me to my knees).So i am typing 'a' from onscreen keyboard (its fun when u have your real keybi working. Not for me. Not now.)Secondly, i am on fat pills of antibiotic(won't mention the name. cant dare to endorse) to curb fever. (I fear my breath smells like some chemical waste. Damn!). Still I am writing(oh sooo devoted...)
Lets hit the crux of the matter. The thing is, on Friday we had an activity at VIT. Plantation of saplings. The patron was Be the Change, the newly founded group of students who feel the need to indemnify; for man has incurred too much trouble while trying quell his burning desire. The concept is- you plant a sapling, take care of it while you are at VIT and hand over the parentage to a junior when you leave. It is really an exciting prospect to see a sapling planted years ago to have grown into a handsome tree. A really fun way to act as a metaphor for a serious cause.

This post may look like the TE EXTC version of the event because I clicked only limited photos owing to low battery of my famous camera(No. It doesn't give immediate printout. Can't afford. I m not the real Sanjay Singhania after all.)
